SPRING/SUMMER 2012 sees KELLY LOVE travel back to the days of childhood bliss. Whimsical games by the light of the fireflies, bunches of posies picked fresh from the garden and fairytales read over and over.

Inspired by outdoor games from a child’s imagination, nursery rhymes and picnics in the meadow, along with the contrast of old fashioned femininity, vintage lingerie and 1930’s cocktail parties.

Grown up fantasy exists in layered dresses with exclusive prints, crochet collars, pleated jersey in dusty rose, French antique lace and olive jacquard spotted silk.

My heart belongs to Anna Sui SS12

Although the crème de a crème of the SS12 Fashion shows are still to come in Paris next week, the show that has stolen my heart thus far has to be Anna Sui.

Inspired by the 1940’s it is everything that I adore. Feminine styling, grown up Lolita like details, strong beautiful prints and exquisite lace cutwork. All of this is accessorised to perfection with turbans, red lips and socks and sandals.

The star of collection for me was a show stopping cream lace dress fit for a wedding gown. Anna Sui, I am in love.......

LUCA was designed with the iconic eras of the 60's and 70's in mind with a modern twist so as to appeal to a wider audience. The current collection has a warm colour palette differing from the usual bright colours and prints of most Australia swimwear labels.
